Make your stag do a golf trip

November 23rd 2010 10:51
Stag do's are getting to be more and more popular these days, and it is fast becoming one of the most recognized British traditions. Gone are the days when you would just head down to your local pub on the eve of your wedding with a few friends and your father in law to be. Nowadays stag do's are all about going away for a few days and having the time of your life. A lot of people actually now go on holiday for a few days or even a week to celebrate, and why not? After all, it might be the last opportunity for you to really cut loose for a while!

A nice thing to do though to make the whole affair a little less sordid is to make something more of the trip. An excellent idea is to turn your stag week into a golfing trip. There is still plenty of time to go out at night with an inflatable sheep attached to your person if you really wish to, but you will find that the fun you have in the day on the golf course will easily be a match for the long hard nights!

Surprisingly, this sort of thing is not too expensive, and the normal deal involves you staying in a nice hotel which is close to the golf course you are playing at. Some of the hotels actually have the golf courses in their grounds, and you often have the choice of playing a few different courses. These holidays are remarkably cheap, and if you search online for golf offers they can be incredibly cheap! It's worth having a look around, because a cheap deal can mean an awful lot of golf for not very much money at all!

Vacationing on a Budget

November 23rd 2010 10:48
A vacation is one of the things that we want to do every year. A yearly relaxation and bonding time with the family is necessary to bring our body and mind back in track. As the famous adage goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". A week or two of a relaxing and pampering vacation would energize our body and bring back our mind's alertness at work and in every thing that we do.

Yes vacations are wonderful, however, we also have to give great consideration to our budget. We should always keep track of what our expenses are during the vacation and see to it that it doesn't go beyond to the budget that we have allotted for this year's trip. A good tip is to make a list of the things that we need and the expenses that we would incur during the vacation. First, the basic things like transportation, accommodation, food, travel tax, travel insurance and medical check-up before travel have to be considered. Some people get anti-allergy or anti-diseases shots before traveling in order to protect themselves from any diseases, allergies or infections that they might get during their travel.

Next is to make a list of the next activities that we can do and spend on. This should also be still within our budget. We can consider the budget on how much we could spend for shopping, in renting sports equipments as well as the other things that we might want to buy as a remembrance for the vacation. Proper budgeting and the right amount of spending are necessary. Once we do all these, we can always be assured of a stress-free and a very relaxing vacation.

Holidaying on the Northumbrian Coast

November 23rd 2010 05:31
The Northumbrian Coast is a wonderful location for nature lovers when it comes to holiday destinations. Most of the coast line is classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty, and you will find a wonderful amount of delightful sandy beaches perfect for winter walks and summer bathing. The waters are also great fun too, with some fun but manageable waves for the children, and on the right beaches, some genuine surf for any surfing fans out there.

The coast line is also littered with historical landmarks. You can expect to come cross dozens of ancient castles and fortresses which stand as a testament to the turbulent times of yesteryear. Move off shore and you will come across the famous Farne islands. This is a small group of islands which are famous for its wildlife inhabitants. They are a wonderful habitat for many different sea birds, and they are also home to a lovely group of grey seals which are often visible basking in the sunshine!

This is truly a wonderful place to stay for lovers of nature. You will find lovely inland walks, and of course you can quite happily while away the hours walking along the beautiful beaches. To find some equally lovely accommodation, you should search for northumbria coast and country cottages. There are many delightful self catering cottages that are available to hire in the local area, and if you book early enough you are sure to find something that will suit you.

Whenever we travel, our travel agency requires us to pay a travel insurance as they say this will protect us and our loved ones if ever any untoward incident may happen during our travel. Some of us comply with it while others want it to be optional most especially if we travel for only a few days. However, is travel insurance really important? What are the advantages of getting one? Below are some reasons why we need to purchase a travel insurance.

If an untoward incident happens during our travel and we need to get emergency medical treatment, the insurer would cover the cost of our treatment which is either for us to be treated at a hospital or as an outpatient case. The amount that the insurance will cover is usually stated in the policy so it is best to read and familiarize first the policy before purchasing the insurance

The Beauty of Macau

November 10th 2010 16:55
Macau is considered as “Asia's Las Vegas” because of its volume and range of games as well as the city's famous casinos. It also has beautiful and world class hotels and tourist spots that visiting guests would not want to miss. Macau used to be a Portuguese colony. This explains its Grand Portuguese architecture. Macau invites a huge crowd every year. Aside from those stated above, this is also because of its delicious cuisine and clean beaches.

A Trip Down South

November 10th 2010 16:16
Guest post written by Gary Atwater

For the long weekend I drove out to the forgotten coast in Florida to see my brother Bill. They call it the forgotten coast because the layout of the town has stayed the same for years. No major development, no new advances, just good old fashioned fishing towns. A lot of the local restaurants are mom and pop developments and seafood restaurants and the general stores are really simple and meet the needs of the minimally populated towns. Usually bait is a hot item
