If you are thinking of holidaying in Britain this year but you are looking for inspiration then look no further! There are so many beautiful placers to visit in this great country of ours, but there are three specific areas which take some beating.
Firstly there is the Lake District. People have been holidaying here for years and years, and there is no secret to the lasting popularity. The Lakes are simply beautiful. Another great place to visit is the Peak District. This might be a better option for some people as it is situated in the Midlands, so is therefore easy to access for most people in the country. It is a delightful area which is well known for its challenging walks and beautiful views, which can stretch for miles. There's nothing quite like a walk through the Peak District, punctuated by a stop or two at the odd country inn! The accommodation tends to be traditional in the Peak District, and you will find many lovely old fashioned peak district cottages available to rent.
The final place worth mentioning is Yorkshire. It is a huge country and that means that any sort of holiday is available to you no matter what sort of things you like to do.
