Travel Safety Tips

Almost all of us love to travel. Every year, we travel a few times from one place to another with different reasons. It can either be a business trip, a vacation to a place where our family has been planning to explore, for a family emergency or to visit our loved ones who live in another place. Sometimes also, we want to travel to another country to interact with its people and to visit the places that we only see in pictures.
When travelling, we always have to be cautious. When we are travelling alone, we should not trust other people right away. If we need to go to the bathroom or somewhere else, it would be best to just bring our things with us than to leave it with someone whom we just met. You don't really know this person so don't ever trust right away. Some airports and malls have travelling lounges where you can leave your things for a fee. Your things will be placed inside a locker and will be guarded properly. This is a better way to leave your things when you want to go shopping or wants to be lighter.
Before leaving the house, double check if you have your tickets with you, your identification cards, credit, debit and atm cards. If travelling abroad, make sure that you have your passport/visa with you. I have a friend who was going to go to Hongkong Disneyland with her family. They live in the province so they had to travel by boat overnight to the city where they was going to take the plane from Cebu to Hongkong. When they were about to get inside the airport and check-in, she found out that they have left all their passports and tickets at home. They then had to postpone the flight on that day and had to leave the following day as her husband had to go back to the province to get their passports and tickets first. They then had to spend more also as they had to stay in a pension house overnight.
When you are touring outside or in a public place, it is necessary that you watch your things properly. Few months ago, a vacationing Swedish couple came into our office looking so worried and the wife was even trembling. We asked them what was wrong and the wife told us that her bag was snatched while they were eating in one of the restaurants in the mall. She placed her bag in between her lower legs while she was eating. She was then surprised when someone just grabbed it right away and ran. Their passport, credit and debit cards and other important travel documents were there. Good thing that we helped them be able to call their family in Sweden.
It is great to travel as it makes us learn new things and witness how people live in other places. If we travel on business, it is also a very rewarding experience meeting successful people from different places. We have to make sure though that we travel safely and do our best to observe travel safety tips that we know of to be able to go back home safely and contented.
