BYU Family Road Trips

Going to a college football game is always an enjoyable outing for my family. Each year we carpool down to Utah to watch Brigham Young University play football. When our family cannot attend football games we watch college football on tv satellite.
My wife attended college with Holly Mendenhal who is the wife of Coach Bronco Mendenhal. Our family always feels special when Coach Mendenhal waves or nods at us when we are in the stands.
The concessions stand is a big part of the reason my kids like to go to the games. Eating at the BYU football games is always a treat for our family as we rarely eat out.
The first game each year each person in our family gets to pick out a BYU shirt or hat. I always get new hat but the rest of my family prefers to get a new BYU t-shirt.
We always run into many friendly people at the BYU games. We do not live in Provo, Utah where the BYU Cougars play but if we ever did move there then we would already know many of the friendly locals.
If the BYU cougars win the game then our drive back home is usually filled with a lot of excitement as we recap the game. If the BYU football team happened to of lost then our trip back is usually much quieter.
