Edinburgh is the second largest city and the capital of Scotland. It is also the seventh most populous city in the United Kingdom. This city is considered as one of the most picturesque cities in Europe because of its impressive setting and vast collection both of the Georgian and Medieval architecture.
The Edinburg Festival Fringe or most commonly called “The Fringe” is a yearly festival celebrated for four weeks every month of August. It is the largest arts festival of the world which was established in 1947. It is an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival. The Fringe festival includes the performing arts most especially theater, dance, music and comedy. The events can range from the classics up to recent works which now includes world premieres. Since there is no selection committee, this festival also showcases experimental and freshly conceptualized works. One of the events that tourists enjoy more is the street fair most especially the one at the Royal Mile.
