The other worldly serenity of this dream destination and it's magnificent natural beauty are the main reasons why many people love to visit this beautiful place. Mauritius is truly blessed with natural beauty with it's
scenic and beautiful beaches, the enchanting waterfalls as well as it's rich and colorful marine life.

One of the most preferred tourist destinations in Mauritius is it's capital city, Port Louis . It is blessed with magnificent natural attractions as well as man-made creations that are equally beautiful like their mosques, the churches, French Styled buildings and many more popular attractions.

Another tourist spot that is just a few minutes drive from the capital city is the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden. It is a famous tourist destination in the country which is visited by many tourists year round. It is also called Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens. It opened nearly 300 years ago as a private garden by the French governor of Mauritius. The Garden prides itself with the Giant Water lilies. It has a unique characteristic that it opens in white on one day and on the following day, closes red. These water lilies are a native of the Amazon. This day, the Garden is home to dozens of fish ponds, medicinal plants as well as different varieties of palm trees.
