The Mayon Volcano: A Perfect Cone

The Mayon Volcano is famous around the world because of it's perfect cone. It is one of the wonders of the new world and is a famous destination of many mountain climbers. Tourists around the world just can't miss the beauty and magnificence it brings once they themselves are able to witness it first hand.

Just last month, the Filipino people was on the alert for the possible explosion of this volcano. Magma and other volcanic stones and ashes emitted from the volcano for days. This has alerted the local officials to evacuate the nearby settlers to evacuation areas. However, for many people, this has been a great opportunity to witness themselves the active volcano. For them, this is a one in a lifetime magnificent experience. Many foreigners rushed to the Philippines just for that.
So, did the volcano erupt or is this volcano about to erupt soon? The volcanology department of the country has opened the possibility of it erupting in a few weeks or even days. However, lately it seems it had slowed down its volcanic activity.
