October 4th 2010 11:27
These days more and more people are choosing to spend their holidays in the UK, and this leads a lot of people to really struggle with where they go. There are many delightful holiday spots in the UK, and it can be a difficult choice to make. One area which is always considered to be a good choice of holiday destination is the Lake District. This is a very traditional holiday location in the UK, and people have been spending their holidays here for years and years. It is a great spot for anyone who revels in the great outdoors. With some of the most beautiful and exciting walks in the whole of the land, not to mention some of the most challenging.
The lakes are of course appealing to many for the numerous great lakes which you can visit in the area. Windermere is probably the most famous of all the lakes, but it is by no means the only large lake to visit in the district. As well as all of these wonderful natural beauty sites to visit, the Lakes is also a wonderful place to visit if you have a passion for English food. There are some delightful tea rooms dotted about the area, and there are also some spectacular restaurants serving really wonderful food. Accommodation in the region is normally pretty reasonably priced, and you will find plenty of lake district Cottages to choose from whatever the number in your party.
