Things to do in London
July 2nd 2010 11:09
For the uninitiated, you are in for a treat. London is one of the most exciting places on earth, and if you are a new visitor you can have the time of your life!
London has a population of around eight million people, so you can imagine how much needs to be on offer to keep all of those people entertained! Whatever your tastes, you will find something you like in this city. Here, we will mention just a few to whet your appetite!
The first thing I would want to do if I was visiting London for the first time is to visit Buckingham Palace. Don’t expect a personalised tour of the Queens own home – you won’t even be allowed in! That being said, it is just fascinating to watch the comings and goings of the people in and around the palace, and to see the enormity of the palace in the flesh is something to behold. It is a great landmark, and something that is synonymous with London.
The next best thing to do is to take a trip on the London eye. Many people have rubbished this recent monument, but I believe it is a great way to see the Capital. From its upper reaches you are hard pushed to beat the view in the whole of London, and it gives you a real impression of the city as a whole.
Finally I would recommend a trip to the theatre. You can now buy Phantom of the opera tickets very cheaply, and this is a lovely traditional thing to do in London’s famous West End.
